On 21st September 2016 John reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, in memory of his wife Beata who tragically died of ovarian cancer at the age of just 41 in October 2015.

He's our hero.

Sebastian Morrison completes RideLondon
Our awesome fundraiser Sebastian completed this 100 mile cycle in August 2015 raising over £1700 for Yes to Life in memory of his friend Amanda, wow!
He said: 'The Ride London was amazing - it went by in a blur of colour and light and speed - it was awesome. Towards the end when I was tying up with cramps (my personal bugbear) I did feel immensely grateful that I was alive and well enough to be cramping up on mile 95 and heading towards The Mall with that being my greatest problem - it puts things in to perspective.'

Yes to Life Festival
Saturday 6th June 2015
Life music, circus skills, hoola hooping, bonfires and just great fun was had at the first festival organised by Pablo Kelly, his girlfriend Becky and all of their family and friends. The sun managed to keep shining despite a bit of cloud in the afternoon and as we sat on hay bales listening to some fantastic acoustic artists, people mingled and children played. It was also a chance to meet some incredible people. Funds were raised for Yes to Life and also to help Pablo Kelly who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and has chosen to fight it naturally as opposed to chemotherapy and radiation to preserve his quality of life. Unfortunately this isn't funded on the NHS, which is why the event was organised.
Thanks to all those who came along and supported the event and let's hope this becomes an annual event in Wrangaton, South Devon.
Dancing, laughter and great music all make for a great fundraiser
8th October in the Steam and Wine Bar in the city of London, over 100 people turned out to watch some great bands - Love Street, Reggae Magic and Owen Stephen. Steve Lerigo, one of Yes to LIfe's long time supporters organised the whole event and pulled together a fantastic raffle as well. Thanks to the Yes to Life Team for encouraging people to buy raffle tickets on the night which meant the total raised was in excess of £1,500. Thanks also go to Steve's friends Paul, Julian and Sora who helped get the event out there and tickets sold.

2012, the sixth and final year of the epic BIKEast London to Istanbul ride. Setting out from Thessaloniki in Greece - last year's destination - our hardy (or is that foolhardy?) bikers covered around 450 miles, arriving in Istanbul on 12th October. A few bikers were not a litte surprised to find that the wild plan, casually hatched over a pint or two in London, had actually happened! London to Istanbul by bike.
Partners, friends, rellies and all came to join us for a celebratory party in Istanbul on 13th October. What an adventure!
Watch this space for details of the next amazing challenge for our heroic bikers.

The event brought in £500 for Yes to Life - sincere thanks to all those who gave time and energy to make it happen!

Oliver Daly, cousin of Bryony, the original inspiration for Yes to Life, cycled from his home in Devon to Lands End and back in two days. That’s 250 miles in two days! And it wasn't exactly smooth going either - 4 punctures, a snapped chain, wrecked gears and some seriously inclement weather! "...it was the hardest, most soul breaking test of determination, spirit and commitment that I have ever faced...".
