Swim Serpentine is organised by the same team behind the Virgin Money London Marathon and Prudential RideLondon. It is a festival of swimming in the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, Central London. This was the venue for the open water swimming during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Thousands of swimmers from around the World will have the chance to swim a half mile, one mile or two miles in open water, in Hyde Park, in the mass-participation event. Every swimmer will be able to choose a start wave, with swimmers having different start times throughout the day.
Swim Serpentine is already a must-do event in the open water swimming calendar. Everything you need will be available, including heated changing rooms, dunk zone, pontoon start and finish, full water safety crew, hot tubs and exhibition area.
There will be a festival type atmosphere at the event and grandstands from which friends and family can watch competitors.
