Cancer Information and Support Centre at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary
Profile:

Princess Alexandra officially opened the Macmillan Centre for cancer care in December 2003, which was built as an extension to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The centre houses clinics and chemotherapy suite, the Alexandra Unit for specialist palliative care services, and the Cancer Information and Support Centre.

At the Centre they offer a free information and support service for anyone affected by cancer. They can offer a confidential one-to-one counselling and psychological support service, information on all aspects of living with cancer and treatments, relaxation tips, stress management, dietary and nutrition advice, and links to national and local organisations and support groups. You do not need to make an appointment. .

Notes:

Open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm (except for bank holidays); they can be available at other times by arrangement.
