Amanda Rogers
Amanda Rogers is a Psychotherapist and counsellor who, through working at a hospice, has experience of the challenges faced by those affected by cancer, either the individual with a diagnosis or a relative. She has had a keen interest in complementary and alternative medicine for over 20 years and passionately supports the principle of an integrative medical approach. Her stance in this field is to be accessible; to honour an individual's perspective, experience and needs, to be collaborative in finding ways for the individual to cope with their experience, and to consider an individual's needs at a mind, body and soul level. She believes that each person's experience and emotional response is unique and that we all experience crises at some point in our lives, which can also bring an opportunity for us to make major changes. How we deal with the challenges affects the quality of our lives. If this resonates with you, please contact her and she will be honoured to support you in changing the quality of your life. Qualifications: Diploma in Psychotherapy
Amanda Rogers is one of a group of individual cancer counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK who have been specially selected by Yes to Life on the basis of their suitability. All of this group are fully qualified and insured and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with and supporting cancer patients and their relatives. When choosing a therapist, apart from confidence in their experience, it is always important to check that you feel comfortable with them. For this reason, it is a good idea to have an initial session before making your decision. Suitable for: Patients: coping with illness, relationships, communication, resolution of life's experiences, reconciliation and spirituality. Patients' relatives: relationships, communication, emotional distress, anticipatory grief and bereavement.
