Dr Rajendra Sharma
Profile:

Dr Rajendra Sharma is an Integrated Medical Doctor utilising conventional, Complementary, and Functional Medicine. He has had an established practice in the Harley Street area of London for 38 years. He currently practices from a clinic in Exeter, Devon.

He has a special interest in working with chronic disease and the diagnosis of its underlying causes. Dr Sharma is not an oncologist and does not claim to treat cancer but works with those undergoing treatment or facing the battle, using naturopathic options to optimise detoxification and enhance immunological function with the aim of improving Quality of Life (QoL) and extend healthy longevity.

Therapies include a range of naturopathic treatments and compounds, IV vitamin supplementation (including Vitamin C, Myers, and Mitochondrial support therapy). He works closely with colleagues specialising in nutritional and psycho-spiritual therapies, Far Infrared for detox, Hyperthermia and pain relief and works with practitioners delivering Oxygen Therapies. Dr Sharma provides pre and post operative protocols and adjunct naturopathic therapies to support those going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Dr Sharma considers the determination of the underlying cause is vital to the short and long-term outcome. Causes of cancer include environmental toxicity, poor lifestyle habits, lack of exercise, dietary causes, and malnutrition. All of these need to be addressed.

When he was Secretary of The British Society for Ecological Medicine (BSEM), he was the Education Coordinator which included, amongst many areas, training in the screening of metal and pollutant toxicity, mitochondrial function (and its association with the Metabolic Theory of Cancer) and establishing the possible presence of DNA adducts (the attachment of a compound that affects DNA function). These are, of course, specifically relevant to cancer.

Dr Sharma is trained in the interpretation of pioneering testing aimed at identifying therapeutic natural extracts.

Dr Sharma is the author of the recently updated and award winning healthy ageing book ‘Live Longer, Live Younger’ and also ‘The Family Encyclopaedia of Health’. Dr Sharma is a member of and the Faculty of Homeopathy and Chairman of The Society of Naturopathy
