Profile:
Juliet Wilson's experience has been gained within the NHS, private and hospice settings. She works with adults, children and young people either individually, as a family or in a group setting when they require support through or after experiencing the cancer journey. Her knowledge as a health professional enables her to comprehend the detailed treatments that people undergo. Through her background, she is also cogniscent of the importance of the spiritual nature of this journey which might end in death and can therefore offer a supportive environment in which clients can explore those issues relevant to them. Juliet also supports those who's cancer affects their relationship with their own sexuality and when other issues of sexual health arise. She is qualified in reflexology, basic hypnotherapy, emotional freedom technique, Neuro-linguistic eye movement therapy and focusing, all of which enable her to enhance the counselling process for the client should they wish to access any of these techniques for the benefit of their well-being. Qualifications: Diploma in person centred counselling (BACP accredited course), Certificate in Counselling supervision, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife (not practising), MA, BA (Hons) theology, MAOR.

Juliet Wilson is one of a group of individual cancer counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK who have been specially selected by Yes to Life on the basis of their suitability. All of this group are fully qualified and insured and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with and supporting cancer patients and their relatives. When choosing a therapist, apart from confidence in their experience, it is always important to check that you feel comfortable with them. For this reason, it is a good idea to have an initial session before making your decision.
