Regina Zander
Profile:
Regina Zander is a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a working experience of 16 years. She believes that cancer has a profound effect on self-identity and on relationships with others. As stated by many cancer clients, a world has turned upside down and the sense of self has become very fragile. She has worked with clients at different stages of their cancer life and her approach to counselling is from a person-centred, existential perspective. She sees the counselling as a journey together towards emotional growth and strength, exploring and reassessing life experience and finding meaning and perhaps a new purpose in life. Regina can offer a safe place to be. Counselling can help you to express your feelings truthfully, to build self-acceptance and confidence in the process of life, to gain insight and awareness and to uncover deeper truths. She provides face to face, couple and telephone counselling. Qualifications: Diploma in humanistic counselling, MA in Counselling/Psychology, supervisor and training qualification.
Notes:
Regina Zander is one of a group of individual cancer counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK who have been specially selected by Yes to Life on the basis of their suitability. All of this group are fully qualified and insured and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with and supporting cancer patients and their relatives. When choosing a therapist, apart from confidence in their experience, it is always important to check that you feel comfortable with them. For this reason, it is a good idea to have an initial session before making your decision. As well as the counselling specialisms listed above, Regina helps with relationship problems, sexual issues, addictions and eating disorders, phobias and personality disorders.
Specialisms:
Trauma, Bereavement, Depression
