Sophie Barrett is an independent Medical Herbalist and Naturopath with over a decade of experience in integrative health. Based in London, she runs a private clinical practice grounded in naturopathic principles, viewing the body as an interconnected system and strengthening the foundations of health; digestion, detoxification, immunity, hormonal balance, stress resilience and nervous system regulation. Her work is highly individualised, combining bespoke botanical prescriptions, medicinal mushrooms, targeted nutrition and lifestyle medicine to restore balance and support the body’s innate capacity to heal. She holds a distinction in Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and is a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners.

Alongside her clinical work, Sophie is Head of Education for Hifas da Terra UK & Ireland, training health professionals in the safe, evidence-informed use of mycotherapy. She lectures internationally and is committed to bridging traditional plant wisdom with modern scientific research. Having experienced cancer herself, she brings a quiet depth of empathy and resilience to her practice, combining clinical rigour with compassion. Her work has been featured in The Times, The Telegraph, British Vogue and Red Magazine, and her earlier career in fashion, wellness and hospitality informs her understanding of stress, performance culture and the realities of modern life.

“I support Yes to Life because I believe everyone navigating cancer deserves access to balanced, evidence-informed information about integrative care. True patient empowerment comes from being supported holistically, physically, emotionally and
practically. Yes to Life creates a compassionate space where individuals can explore integrative approaches safely and responsibly. As a naturopath, I value collaboration, informed choice and whole-person care, and I deeply respect the charity’s commitment to education, integrity and patient autonomy.”
