A cancer diagnosis can change everything. It can bring uncertainty, difficult decisions and questions that are not always easy to answer. At a time when life may feel overwhelming, finding the right information, support and understanding can make a real difference.

At Yes to Life, we believe that every person deserves to be heard, supported and empowered to make informed choices about their care.

We are a UK charity dedicated to integrative cancer care. We help people explore ways to support their wellbeing alongside conventional cancer treatment, recognising that every person is unique and that care should consider the whole person — body, mind and spirit.

Above all, we are here to bring people information, connection, hope and the reassurance that they do not have to face cancer alone.

A more personal approach to cancer care

Cancer care is about more than treating a disease. It is also about the person living with it: their physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, hopes and what matters most to them.

Integrative cancer care brings together conventional medical treatment with appropriate complementary approaches and wider wellbeing support. Depending on individual needs, this may include nutrition, movement, relaxation, emotional support and other approaches that can help people feel more supported throughout their experience of cancer.

We believe people should have access to reliable, evidence-informed information to help them understand their options, ask questions and have meaningful conversations with their healthcare professionals.

There is no single approach that is right for everyone. Our role is not to tell people what to do, but to help them explore their options and make choices that feel right for them, in partnership with their medical team.

Hope, individuality and the freedom to choose

We know that a cancer diagnosis can be frightening, and we never underestimate the challenges people face. We also know that access to information, compassionate support and a sense of agency can make a meaningful difference.

For us, hope does not mean promising outcomes or pretending that cancer is easy. It means recognising that there are ways to support wellbeing, that every person’s experience matters, and that people deserve to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect.

We believe in listening rather than judging, supporting rather than directing, and recognising the many different values, circumstances and beliefs that shape each person’s choices.

Our aim is to help people feel more informed, more supported and more confident in the conversations and decisions that matter to them.

Two decades of care, commitment and hope

For more than 20 years, Yes to Life has been championing integrative cancer care in the UK, helping people access information, support and a wider understanding of the options available to them.

We continue to work towards a future in which integrative approaches are better understood, reliable information is easier to access, and the physical, emotional and wider wellbeing needs of people affected by cancer receive the attention they deserve.
