Who are Yes to Life’s supporters?

Yes to Life is here to help people with cancer on the best possible journey. After several years of steady development, we are now centre-stage in an emerging age of integrative cancer treatments allied to healthy living options, and the number of people seeking our support is growing all the time.

Our main source of funds is the public. Enthusiasm for our mission is generated by our many public events and of course, from the direct support we provide to people in need. Family, friends and people recovered from cancer show their appreciation by fundraising in a huge variety of ways or by making a bequest to Yes to Life in their will.

Additionally, we regularly receive funds from a range of Trusts and Foundations, from Practitioner Supporters and from businesses that support our mission.

OUR SUPPORTERS

Our supporters are the life blood of the charity. Everything we do ultimately depends on them. While the general public must be credited with a central role in this, below are some individuals and organisations that we want to acknowledge.

Support from businesses that understand our mission has become enormously important to us over the years, notably in maintaining the low cost of attendance at our events for the public.

Our Helpline

The Helpline is our core service. Our team of highly trained and dedicated Helpline volunteers all have personal experience of challenges such as those faced by our callers, and so they are able to provide a lifeline to those whose voices have not been heard, or who are otherwise isolated. OUR MEDICAL SUPPORTERS

While the concepts of patient choice and patient-centred care are far more established now than they were 20 years ago when Yes to Life was set up, the move towards integration in the UK has barely begun. So the need for visible support from within medicine is crucial to underpin progress in the face of resistance to change.

OUR OFFICE TEAM

Our small Office Team delivers a volume of services and events that would be worthy of one with double the number or more. While they can’t man the phones continuously, they always aim to respond to your enquiries quickly.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS

Corporate partnerships with Yes to Life are aimed at bringing mutual benefit to both parties through collaborative efforts. More than just ticking the corporate social responsibility (CSR) box, the Yes to Life business partnerships consist of long-term, strategic projects that brings sustainable impact and real change to our beneficiaries.

OUR SCIENTIFIC & MEDICAL ADVISORY PANEL

The recently formed Yes to Life Scientific & Medical Advisory Panel is made up of experts from the field of Integrative Medicine and provides the charity with support in maintaining the quality and accuracy of the charity’s publications and planning developments.

OUR TRUSTEES

Our Trustees are very ‘hands on’, practically engaged in the development and success of Yes to Life. They bring very varied skillsets and perspectives to the Board and we are enormously fortunate for their dedicated and voluntary commitment.

SUPPORTING TRUSTS & FOUNDATIONS

Whilst the mission of Yes to Life is unusual amongst cancer charities, some Trusts and Foundations are particularly aligned with moving medicine towards integration, and with the type of individual, personal support that we advocate. We are enormously grateful for their support, some of it long term.
