Acorn Cancer Support Group (The)
Profile:

Acorn Cancer Support Group’s aim is to alleviate the physical and emotional distress of cancer patients and their carers. Meetings and support covers St Ives, Huntingdon, Ramsey and surrounding areas. The three groups meet once a month, Ramsey 1st Monday, Huntingdon 2nd Wednesday and St Ives 3rd Wednesday. They offer aromatherapy, creative visualisation, massage, reflexology, reiki, tranquillity and seated exercises. There are health professionals and volunteers on hand to lend an ear and offer refreshments. They have social outings and also a film club that meets in St Ives. Individual telephone support is available via a ‘buddy’ system.
