Coping with Cancer in Leicestershire and Rutland

Coping with Cancer has a team of therapists who are experienced in treating those affected by cancer and are able to offer an extensive range of complementary therapies, with the aim of helping patients feel better, give a sense of control over what is happening, reduce stress, tension, sleeplessness, anxiety and depression, and make them feel more relaxed. If a patient is being treated for cancer, complementary therapies may help to reduce some of the symptoms, such as pain, feeling sick, breathlessness, tiredness and poor appetite.

Coping with Cancer are hoping to open Time Out Drop in support groups mid-September or October, depending on guidelines, venues and Covid risk assessments completed by then.

Counselling may be attended from mid-September, a risk assessment is being carried out. Complementary therapies have had risk assessments carried out and safety measures following the government guidelines have been put in place, however they are awaiting confirmation from public health. They are also hoping to restart support groups in mid-September, following government guidelines.
