Carol Granger is a registered nutritional therapist and herbalist. Carol works based on the principle of Food First, which means that nutritional supplements are only recommended as a support, not instead of the right diet. She is trained and experienced in the use of herbs and have made a particular study of myconutrients (medicinal mushrooms). Suitable herbs may be recommended to support your nutritional therapy programme. Food plans are discussed and agreed with your lifestyle and preferences in mind during your consultation.
Carol Granger previously worked in bioscience research and medical technology for 20 years and this enables her to have a thorough understanding of health and disease from both theoretical and clinical points of view.
Carol has published research on various subjects. She has an honours degree in biochemistry, a Master’s degree in microbiology, as well as training in nutritional therapy and herbal medicine. Her doctorate in health sciences from the University of Westminster involved researching nutritional therapy for people with cancer.
Aside from her clinical work, Carol is a guest lecturer on several nutritional therapy courses to Degree and Master’s level, she is currently Chair of the governing council of the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission, and a Trustee of the Research Council for Complementary Medicine.
