Dr Innes is a holistic medical doctor who has been practising complementary medicine since 1992, using herbalism and homeopathy. Serious illness in the form of chronic post-viral fatigue and a head tumour motivated him to find the most effective treatments for himself and his patients. He discovered that the answer lay in using the treatment that best fit the illness and set out to become more versatile and effective. He takes a balanced approach that embraces several disciplines, which he believes is where the future of medicine lies. He is trained, qualified, registered and insured in medicine, medical herbalism, homeopathy and healing. His other main tools are nutrition and a computerised device for treating the body’s energy field.
Dr Innes qualified as a conventional medical doctor in 1985 and went to study at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and the Faculty of Homeopathy, qualifying as a homeopath in 1992. He has completed a four-year Honours Degree in Medical Herbalism at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine, a two-year training in healing at the College of Psychic Studies, two years at the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies and a training in naturopathic detoxification in the form of the Gerson Therapy, and integrated them into his current practice. Dr Innes is registered with the General Medical Council and Society of Homeopaths; a member of and mentor for the National Institute of Medical Herbalists; and on the Specialist Register of the Faculty of Homeopathy.
