Paul Zhang, MD, PhD, ABIHM is the founder of the Omega Precision Oncology, Institute of Integrative BioOncology. As a physician-scientist, he is board-certified in medical oncology and integrative medicine. He received his clinical oncology training at Yale University and completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center MSKCC. As a member of the Society of Integrative Oncology and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, he strongly advocates for the application of evidence-based comprehensive and integrative approaches to treatment and health restoration.
The fundamental principle of the clinic is that cancer is a disease of the entire system, which is remarkably complex at molecular and systems levels and multiple functional entities in the body, including the immune system and metabolic processes. Therefore, the treatment of cancer is equally complex methods, often requiring the use of multiple drugs, and combinations thereof, for obtaining the optimum curative benefit of therapy. It is estimated that a cocktail of at least 4 drugs will be required to achieve a curative effect.
