Oxymed Center

Oxymed Center is a hyperbaric centre at the Adeli Medical Center in Piešťany. It is the only hyperbaric centre in Slovakia which is able to combine hyperbaric oxygen therapy with intensive neuro-rehabilitation.

The centre is equipped with a modern 12-seater chamber HAUX STARMED 2200 / 5,5 / XL suitable for lying down patients. The chamber is filled with air (pressurised), not 100% oxygen as in 1-chamber chambers. 100% of medical oxygen is inhaled by patients through closed masks.

Under pressure of 2.2 ATA, patients breathe clean oxygen using a face mask or a certified helmet. Chamber pressure and overall program can be set individually based on client’s requirements or diagnosis. A computer-controlled system is sustains operability even in case of power outage.

Part of the chamber is a 2-sets access chamber, which serves as the access point for medical personnel during exposure, if needed. Standard features include built-in fully automatic fire extinguishers, patient audio / video monitoring, air conditioning, computer / manual exposure control.

In addition to a wide range of diseases in adults, the centre also focuses on treatment of children of different ages above the age of 3.
