The Pembrokeshire Cancer Support Group was established in 1991 by Doreen Wormell and became a registered charity in 1995. The primary purpose of the group is improving and maintaining the quality of life for those who have or have had cancer and to offer support for their carers, family and friends, through a non-nursing environment.
The complementary therapies at the centre include:
Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) Healing with the angels of IET – hands-on healing that helps the body to lift the issues from the tissues and promotes and allows the body to heal itself.
Reflexology – promotes a sense of wellbeing.
Indian Head Massage – the ancient art of head, neck, shoulders and face relaxation.
They also offer support groups and craft classes. All treatments are carried out by qualified Therapists at the Support Centre. There are plans to offer yoga classes by a qualified yoga therapist soon.
