Christine Pyatt
Profile:

Christine Pyatt, BA is a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited counsellor with a degree in psychology. In practice since 1997, she has developed a creative and caring style of counselling that draws upon cognitive–behavioural, transactional analysis, person–centred and psycho–dynamic therapies.

Christine offers a caring, compassionate and creative style of counselling. Her holistic and practical approach begins with an initial assessment which provides an opportunity to find out whether counselling is the most appropriate emotional support for the patient and family. Evidence shows that it is good to talk in a safe and confidential setting and by allowing time and space, the client can reflect on today’s life challenges.

Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Psychology Sociology and Social Anthropology : Two Year Certificate in Counselling: Introduction to Counselling in Primary Care.

Notes:

Christine Pyatt is one of a group of individual cancer counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK who have been specially selected by Yes to Life on the basis of their suitability. All of this group are fully qualified and insured and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with and supporting cancer patients and their relatives. When choosing a therapist, apart from confidence in their experience, it is always important to check that you feel comfortable with them. For this reason, it is a good idea to have an initial session before making your decision.
