The Christie NHS Foundation Trust has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years and is the largest cancer centre in Europe. Treating more than 40,000 patients each year, they were the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre.

Based in Manchester, with radiotherapy centres in Oldham and Salford, they are a national specialist, treating 25% of patients from around the country. As part of the NHS, they provide radiotherapy, chemotherapy, specialised surgery for rare cancers and a wide range of diagnostic and supportive services including Photodynamic Therapy.

The complementary therapies are provided by 30 therapists working in a part-time self-employed basis covering Monday to Friday and working throughout the hospital.
