Clan Cancer Support is a local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland via their purpose-built support and wellbeing centre in Aberdeen and many centres in the community.
The centre offers a range of services, delivered by qualified and experienced counsellors and therapists and support volunteers. Through the network of Clan in community centres and outreach facilities, they provide wellbeing and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, supporters and friends. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. Clan aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the side effects of serious illness.
For those travelling to Aberdeen hospitals for appointments or treatment, they also offer affordable B&B accommodation at Clan Haven alongside assistance with transport to and from the hospital.
