Dr Stacy D’Andre is an Integrative Oncologist at Mayo Clinic specialising in the treatment of brain tumours, gynaecologic and gastrointestinal tumours. She brings functional medicine into oncology practice to help patients deal with side effects of treatment as well as promote healing after therapy. Patients who have completed therapy will have detailed plans put in place to improve overall health and wellbeing, with the goal of creating an environment in which cancer cells cannot thrive.
Dr D’Andre’s clinical focus is on helping cancer patients with lifestyle changes, including improving diet, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction. She also ensures safe and appropriate supplement use and assists patients with medical cannabis when indicated.
Her research focus is on supportive care of cancer patients, using lifestyle modification or supplements to help with side effects of treatment and improving outcomes. She has a special interest in medical cannabis research and medicinal mushrooms.
