Dr Shamim Daya is a holistic GP with  a special interest in using Food as Medicine, the safe prescribing of Bio-Identical Hormones and the importance of addressing the lymph to enhance any healing process.

Having embraced medical training and qualifying as a GP, with a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Daya worked as a General Practitioner in an NHS practice for 3 years. Through her personal health journey, and having explored the infinite benefits of other complimentary health modalities, Dr Daya was inspired to open Wholistic Medical Centre in 1997.

At Wholistic Medical Centre, Dr Daya’s mission is to provide patients with a personalised healthcare plan to establish a state of health and wellbeing, and in the process empower them to make better choices to sustain good health.

Fuelled by her passion to educate, and her specialist interest in food as medicine Dr Daya wrote and published her book “The Power of Food Therapy” in 2011.
