Smith Center for Healing and the Arts is a non-profit health, education and creative arts organisation that serves individuals, families and communities affected by cancer and other serious illness. Cancer Help Program Residential Retreats are one of the foundations of their work. These week long residential retreats, designed with Commonweal Cancer Help Programme, offer an environment for integration, reflection and healing. The retreats offer yoga and other relaxation techniques, health supportive meals and valuable information about the connection between diet and good health, group sessions with a licensed psychotherapist and more. They provide a non-medical, educational, hands-on experience for participants, and offer a respite from the stresses of daily life with a cancer diagnosis in a nurturing environment for the mind, body and spirit.
All programs are currently running via Zoom until further notice. If there are any questions the centre can be contacted by email: firstname.lastname@example.org (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm). The cost of the three-day retreat is $950 per person including individual accommodations (private bedroom and bathroom) and meals. Limited scholarship funds are available, however requests generally exceed their resources. In most cases, scholarship awards are offered in the amount of $250, and are made on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. For more information, contact email@example.com
