Dagmara Beine introduces her new book and speaks of life, love and loss and the power of integrative care.
A diagnosis of leukaemia in her precious daughter Zuza was to propel Dagmara Beine on a journey of discovery and learning, in search of any and every way to reduce her daughter’s suffering and increase her lifespan. In this she was extraordinarily successful, and along the way she shared her acquired knowledge through the first really comprehensive book on the integrative care of childhood cancers – A Parent’s Guide to Childhood Cancer. Since then, Dagmara was tragically to lose Zuza, but not before she had written and recorded a wealth of material expressing her experience of life as a teenager with cancer.
In her second book, Dagmara shares some of this material and adds her own plea to others to safeguard their health, to learn about the perils of the hostile environment we have created for ourselves, and about the many ways in which we can support and nurture our own health and wellbeing – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
