Catherine Schopfer
Profile:

Catherine Schopfer, MSc (Food Science, ETH Zurich), is a certified professional coach, cancer coach, and cancer survivor.

Working at the intersection of cancer care and the realities people face beyond it, Catherine supports people navigating cancer, directly or alongside someone they care for. She helps them make sense of what they are going through and find a way forward that feels both realistic and manageable in daily life.

Many people receive medical care and information, yet find themselves alone at home, facing decisions that feel important without always knowing what truly applies to them. At that point, it is not a lack of information, but the difficulty of finding clarity and knowing how to move forward in a way that feels both achievable and right for them. Because when you are the one living it, the question is rarely “what should I do?” but “what actually feels possible now?”

Her work focuses on this moment: helping people clarify what matters, make informed and conscious choices, and apply what supports them in their daily life, at their own pace. Her approach complements medical care by addressing what happens outside the hospital—the daily reality between appointments, where most decisions, doubts, and adjustments take place—bringing clarity, structure, and respect to each person’s situation.

Alongside her coaching work, she is committed to advancing cancer coaching as a recognised and integral part of cancer care, so that no one is left to navigate this part of the journey without guidance.
