Yesterday we chose to drive five mins to a local wood. As we approached on the country lane, we could see from a distance the blue beneath the trees on one side. We parked up and entered on the opposite side of the road, walking through an initial boundary of trees, we were suddenly completely awestruck by the beauty of bluebells carpeting the ground as far as the eye could see. It was impossible to keep walking – I had to linger for a long while soaking in the beauty. As I write now, I feel my body opening again and a stillness coming over me, as I remember in appreciation the mass of bluebells, the sun filtering through the trees highlighting pool upon pool of bluebells….

Today, although interrupted by the internet going down, I kept to my new resolve and practiced Qi Gong for one hour and meditation for 30 minutes. Just sitting meditation, no doing, no goal, simply being – my mind self-organising and settling.
