Wednesdays 10.00 – 11.00 am.
The intention of the sessions is to provide a supportive environment for you to explore a variety of yoga practices. Classes include gentle yoga movement and postures, breathing practices, and a guided relaxation, and may also include other traditional yoga practices depending on the needs of the group. Everyone is welcome, as practices can be done standing, seated or lying on the floor.
Yoga can help to ease tension in the mind as well as the body, which supports an improved flow of ‘prana’ or ‘subtle energy’ around the body. This can help us to feel calmer and more balanced physically and emotionally, so gives us a greater sense of well-being.
I live in Hitchin with my family. I have created a wonderful yoga studio and treatment space in the heart of town. This feels like home and I hope you enjoy the studio.
I chose to do my teacher training with Katy Appleton, who has been a big influence within my own practice which began over 20 years ago. Although I am happy teaching and sharing this wonderful practice of yoga I am also a student, and continue to enjoy so many different offerings, teachings and training. This reveals itself in my own teaching style which I hope offers a truly embodied practice; a rich experience which includes mantra, mudra, meditation and pranayama as well as asana.
Use of poetry, contemplation, and inspiration from life all lead you to a felt sense of experience within my class. A beautiful community is gathering at Yogafeet, and you are welcome to be a part of it.
Yoga has carried me through many twists and turns in life, not all experiences being light and bright but all being rich in their own way. The beauty, the strength, the benefit that yoga offers to ourselves enriches not only the whole of our lives but also of all of those who surround us.
