The actress and singer has chosen to support the work of Yes to Life in promoting lifestyles choices for cancer and cancer prevention.
Samantha, best known for her role as Ronnie Mitchell, recently reported that she is clear of breast cancer, a few months after announcing her diagnosis in August 2022.
Sam has found in Yes to Life the information and resources she was looking for to re-gain control of her wellbeing and the emotional support she was seeking for. Sam said:
“We all know that there is a medical journey, but not everyone understands that cancer patients are also an emotional journey, one that can feel very lonely and alienated”.
Robin Daly, Yes to Life’s Founder and Chairman said “We’re absolutely honoured and delighted to have Sam as our Patron. She’s joining us at a crucial time for our charity as we strive to increase awareness of the importance of lifestyle choices for people living with cancer, and to significantly grow our charity’s reach”
Sam said “Having been on my own journey with breast cancer, I know only too well how much is thrown at you. It can be a very scary time, and having somewhere to turn to with support and help is essential. Finding Yes to Life has been incredible. A hub of research and vital information to help you with your journey. I am thrilled to be a patron and hope I can spread the word about this life-changing organisation.”
