Dr Amy Walker is a UK-based medical doctor and Associate at Mosaic Medical, where she leads the Breast Cancer Service. Amy qualified from Leeds Medical School in 1998 and spent over two decades working within the NHS, most recently as a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Following her own breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, she retrained in Functional Medicine and Integrative Oncology. She now supports individuals with breast cancer alongside their oncology care, helping them manage treatment side effects, optimise treatment outcomes, and reduce recurrence risk through personalised, evidence-informed lifestyle and metabolic strategies. She also works with women living with metastatic disease, offering integrative support to help maintain strength, resilience and quality of life during ongoing treatment. Amy integrates conventional medical practice with functional medicine, advanced testing, and nutrigenomics to provide thoughtful, individualised care. She is passionate about bridging the gap between hospital-based cancer treatment and proactive, science-informed integrative support, helping patients feel informed, supported and actively involved in their long-term health.

“I support Yes to Life because patients deserve access to balanced, evidence-informed information about integrative approaches alongside conventional cancer treatment. As both a doctor and someone who has experienced cancer treatment personally, I understand how overwhelming a diagnosis can feel, and how strong the desire is to do everything possible to support recovery and long-term health. Integrative care should not sit in opposition to conventional medicine; when approached responsibly and grounded in science, it can complement and strengthen it. Yes to Life provides thoughtful, measured education that respects patient autonomy while remaining committed to evidence and safety. I believe informed choice, metabolic and lifestyle support, and personalised care are essential components of modern cancer care, and I am proud to support an organisation that advocates for this integrated approach.”
