Samantha Womack is an English actress and singer who has worked in film, television and on stage. Sam initially planned a career as a singer and represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1991. She has since become hugely popular playing the role of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders.
Sam received a diagnosis of breast cancer in 2022 and took the decision to ‘go public’ about it, inspired by the example of Olivia Newton-John.
“Having been on my own journey with breast cancer, I know only too well how much is thrown at you. It can be a very scary time and having somewhere to turn to with support and help is essential. Finding Yes to Life has been incredible. A hub of research and vital information to help you with your journey. I am thrilled to be a patron and hope I can spread the word about this life changing organisation.”
