Ludwig Esser is a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, trained in various psychological approaches. His work is mainly based on analytical psychology, Gestalt psychology and certain aspects of transpersonal therapy. If appropriate and necessary, he also works with cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness.
He has studied particular aspects of holistic cancer care at Penny Brohn Cancer Care in Bristol and also guided several interactive workshops for Breast Cancer Care Wales. His main approach to working with cancer is based on the works of Lawrence LeShan and Carl Simonton.
Ludwig Esser focuses on what is good with you, rather than simply the cancer, and what feels like is going wrong. He looks at the cancer as a turning point, a potential for positive growth in life as a consequence of a harmful growth within the body.
