Medical Center Cologne was founded by Robert W.D. Gorter MD PhD and has been under his direction since 2000. The center is dedicated to the treatment of cancer using an immune-supportive, non-toxic cancer therapy and also other chronic diseases, such as infections with hepatitis B and C and HIV.
Medical Center Cologne applies the Gorter Model, a non-toxic approach in the treatment of cancer. The goal of the treatment is to improve the immune system ‘immune restoration’. Dr Gorter developed this programme after more than 39 years of clinical experience after surviving cancer himself and after having been a programme director in the field of AIDS treatment and research at the University of California San Francisco Medical School for more than 10 years.
This clinic has treated over 4,000 late stage cancer patients, and according to Dr Gorter, about 96% have achieved partial or complete long term remission and are enjoying many years of productive, quality life. He creates individual protocols paying special attention to the patient as well as the characteristics of the tumour itself. The Gorter Model is designed to restore and enhance immune function, enabling the immune system to aggressively and effectively combat cancer cells throughout the body.
