Lindsey Sillars
Profile:

Lindsey Sillars is a registered and accredited Person Centred Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) based near Glasgow. She provides counselling in a holistic centre supporting people affected by cancer and their carers.

Lindsey has worked in health and social care settings for over 30 years with both children and adults, including Cancer Support Charity in Scotland for 4 years.

Her approach can be both top down (exploring our thought processes) and bottom up (managing distressing symptoms which can cause anxiety / overwhelm). She also offers psychoeducation to help gain insight into the mind-body link which can aid self-awareness and develop new ways of coping.

Managing life after cancer can be as challenging as the treatment itself. Issues such as fear of recurrence, anxiety, low mood, fatigue and changing relationships are just some of the areas that may be explored.
