The first 10 years of Celia Urbach’s working life were spent as an advice and rights worker, working with a very wide range of clients. She later qualified as a lawyer and spent 10 years practicing law. Following two deaths in her family, which had a profound and transformative impact, this led her to change her life course. She began counselling training and worked as a Hospice Befriender and Bereavement Counsellor. Later she moved on to general counselling, opening her own private practice in 2009.
A cancer diagnosis can have a devastating effect. As a therapist, she offers a confidential, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can look at your situation and the challenges you face. Celia works in an integrative way, which means she draws on different theoretical approaches, depending on your needs. Sometimes she uses visualisation, imagination, dreams, and chair work to explore deeper unconscious processes. She offers insights into how earlier experiences may have affected you, but equally, she offers a soul perspective, which views pain and suffering as a meaningful part of our journey towards understanding, wisdom and self-knowledge.
