We are recruiting volunteers who enjoy engaging their community to help raise the charity’s profile at a local level. Everyone has their own community and we would love to work with people who can share their passion, interest and enthusiasm for Yes to Life with people in their communities who could benefit from our work.
Below is a list of ways you can do this but we are very happy to listen to your suggestions and ideas too. The role is flexible and you can choose how many hours you dedicate to the role.
We welcome applicants from all sections of the community and particularly those who have been affected by cancer.

• Visit local GP surgeries, hospitals, health centres, gyms, health food stores, supermarkets and places of worship to leave our flyers • Request a stand at local festivals and/or other local events and promote the work of Yes to Life • Create connections with local hospitals and/or GP practices to find out if we can have a regular stand on their premises • Work with local schools that organise coffee mornings or other events for parents to promote the work of Yes to Life • Contact local community groups and community centres to deliver presentations about Yes to Life • Like and share our social media posts • Organise a presentation at your place of work either once or twice a year • Organise fundraising events such as bake sales, raffles, sponsored walks or anything else that supports our work
The role can be done flexibly to suit other commitments. Ideally we would like you to organise two events per 12 months.
You will be required to attend online induction training and have access to ongoing online training to support you in your role.
