
Role Outline – Volunteer Community Fundraising Assistant
Ensuring that all community fundraising supporters receive an outstanding level of service. Support our aim to build a strong community network of local fundraisers, committed and inspired to raise money to help us achieve our mission of supporting people with cancer.
We welcome applicants from all sections of the community and particularly those who have been affected by cancer.
Skills and experience needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Happy to work flexibly
- Friendly and approachable
- Can-do attitude
- Strong IT skills, in particular in using Outlook, MS Excel and Word
- Desirable but not essential, a background in community fundraising which can include participating in fundraising events
What will you do?
- Flexibility and willingness to learn about Yes to Life supporters and work, particularly in regards to community fundraising
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to effectively engage with others, understand what motivates them and respond appropriately
- Be the first point of contact for all our supporters


Time commitment
You will need to be able to commit to a minimum of half a day per week. The role will be remote so you will ideally have access to a PC/laptop and good internet access.
Training, Support and Expenses
You will be required to attend online induction training and have access to ongoing online training to support you in your role.
