Introducing Emotional Freedom Technique
Date: 27 Jul 2020

Fiona Smith

Fiona has been working as a therapist for over 15 years and loves working with EFT which is part of the growing field of Energy Psychology. She runs a private therapy practice in Oxfordshire and also teaches meditation.

“I have found EFT or tapping to be the most wonderful tool, for myself, my family and my clients. It is very easy to learn, quick to do and has powerful and effective results.

Tapping on yourself is free and you don’t have to have spent hours studying it to feel the benefits.  It’s great for relieving general stress and anxiety, which helps to boost your energy and your natural immunity but can also be used for dealing with deeper seated issues and to target specific fears, traumas, phobias and even pain.”

Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT is described as an evidence-based self-help therapeutic method. It involves tapping with the fingertips on various acupuncture meridian points while thinking about a specific issue.  The subject of over 100 studies, it has been found to be as or more effective than conventional methods of treating anxiety and depression.

This forum will give an introduction to EFT and provide a demonstration of how to use it.
