Retreat and restore

The beautiful sanctuary known as the Bhaktivedanta Manor Temple, based in Watford, Hertfordshire is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple that sits on 70 acres of land, and was donated to the mission in 1973 by The Beatle George Harrison. The Manor is owned and run by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), better known as the Hare Krishna movement. The temple complex includes prayer rooms, a beautiful forest walk, gardens, cow sanctuary, library, auditorium, farming land, kitchens, and retreat centres.

Back due to popular demand, we were excited to hold another majestic day out at this wonderful temple.

Activities of the day included:

  • Yoga session
  • Meditation session
  • Resilience workshop
  • Tours of the grounds
  • Nice wholesome vegetarian lunch
  • A fun treasure hunt in the 70 acres of land

It was a day of fun and silliness – sometimes adults need to play too! It was open to anyone and participants were welcome to bring their loved ones along.
