The dynamics of the clinician – patient relationship in clinic plays a key role in empowering patients to take control of their health and participate in decision-making about their care. Oncology clinic consultations are often not enough patient – centric and not all aspects of holistic care are covered. Clinicians need to work with their patients and focus on all aspects of care that are most valuable to them, in order for them to realise their optimal vision for health.
