United by a determination to take an active role in their health, these men have combined conventional ‘stand-of-care cancer treatment with evidence-informed complementary and holistic therapies, creating personalised approaches that support not only the body, but also the mind, emotions and spirit.
The campaign shines a spotlight on exceptional survivorship and explores the common themes that have emerged across their very different experiences: **agency, personal responsibility, mindset, nutrition, lifestyle change, integrative thinking, community and hope**.
At a time when conversations around men’s health are gaining momentum, the campaign also seeks to challenge stereotypes around masculinity and illness by encouraging greater openness, vulnerability and connection.
Despite their differing diagnoses, each of the four men speaks candidly about the importance of stepping beyond a passive patient role and becoming an active participant in their own wellbeing. Their stories demonstrate how integrative approaches can help individuals address the whole person, supporting physical, emotional and psychological health alongside standard medical care.
The campaign is firmly rooted in the principles of the **Yes to Life Charter for Oncology**, which advocates for a patient-centred, whole-person approach to cancer care. The Charter recognises that while conventional standard-of-care treatment remains fundamental, patients should also be empowered to explore evidence-informed complementary approaches that support their wider health and quality of life – the unspoken non-physical factors in cancer survivorship.
“These are not simply stories about surviving cancer,” said Robin Daly MBE, Founder YTL. “They are stories about living with purpose, finding agency in the face of uncertainty, and discovering that cancer care can extend far beyond treatment alone. Through sharing their experiences, these men are helping to open important conversations about what it means to truly support the whole person.”
The “4 Men” campaign highlights the courage required not only to face a life-threatening diagnosis, but also to speak openly about the emotional realities of cancer. By sharing their vulnerabilities, fears, setbacks and successes, the participants hope to inspire other men affected by cancer to seek support, build community and recognise that they have agency and choices.
Throughout the campaign, audiences will hear directly from the four survivors as they reflect on the decisions, practices and perspectives that have shaped their lives since diagnosis. While every cancer journey is unique, their experiences reveal striking common ground: a commitment to learning, a willingness to make meaningful lifestyle changes, an openness to integrative approaches, and an enduring belief in the possibility of hope.
The campaign reinforces Yes to Life’s mission to ensure that everyone affected by cancer has access to the information, support and resources they need to make informed choices about their care and wellbeing.
The 4Men will be making a guest appearance to the YTL Stand F51 at the Integrative Personalised Medicine Congress, 19th June 2026 Westminster as well as appearing at:
