Medium: Watercolour Pencils on Canvas.

Artist statement: Netha Islam was a BA (Hons) Painting, Drawing and Printmaking student at Arts University Plymouth from 2019-2021. She had cancer throughout the second year of the course and sadly passed away last summer. The last time I saw her, she told me that my artworks werevery honest, that she loved them and wanted to see more of them. I have remembered her words of encouragement ever since. Thank you, Netha, for that moment of connection that has stayed with me in my thoughts to this day. May you rest in peace now and forever.
