Personal Fundraising Scheme (PFS)

Some people may choose to undertake treatment which can be costly – this might include going overseas for treatment or perhaps undertaking a private treatment programme in the UK which the NHS cannot provide.

Through Yes to Life you can set up a Personal Fundraising Scheme (PFS).  All money donated to a PFS goes to the person and choice of treatment it is intended for.

So what’s different about a PFS  – there are other schemes like Go Fund Me, Crowdfunding?

  • Our fundraising team can help you with ideas on how to raise money and promote your PFS
  • We carry out all the financial admin including making direct payments to clinics, practitioners etc.  We keep you up to date on the current balance in your scheme – weekly if required
  • We can help you with the technical side of setting up your scheme on a Giving Site
  • You have access to your funds as they are donated
  • You do not have to wait until the end of a prescribed period of time to receive donations
  • All donations received on your behalf are placed into a restricted account ay Yes to Life
  • Your donors know that the funds are being managed through a charity which is regulated; and
  • You are also helping the charity to help others, as donations from tax payers are eligible for Gift Aid (25% of the donation).  Gift Aid does not come out of the donation but is paid via HMRC

 

You will be asked to complete an Agreement before setting up a PFS which sets out clearly how the scheme runs.
