Ann Boothman
Profile:
Ann Boothman is a qualified person-centred counsellor, and has been working with bereavement, carer, and palliative care clients at The Macmillan Wellbeing Centre for four years. A cancer diagnosis affects not only the patient, but also those close to them. The feelings invoked can be complex and are particular to each individual. She offers a safe, confidential environment to explore those feelings to help gain a self-awareness during a difficult time. For the person with the diagnosis, sometimes it is important to be in touch with you as an individual and not as a patient. Counselling is helpful to face those difficult subjects that perhaps are uncomfortable to discuss with your loved ones. This is possible in a non-judgemental setting where you can find the answers. Qualifications: Diploma Person Centred Counselling
Notes:
Ann Boothman is one of a group of individual cancer counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK who have been specially selected by Yes to Life on the basis of their suitability. All of this group are fully qualified and insured and have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with and supporting cancer patients and their relatives. When choosing a therapist, apart from confidence in their experience, it is always important to check that you feel comfortable with them. For this reason, it is a good idea to have an initial session before making your decision. Ann Boothman holds practices in Bolton, Bury and Burnley town centres.
