Olive Tree (The)

The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre is an independent charity providing a range of support services to cancer patients, their carers and families. They offer a variety of complementary therapies as part of their holistic approach to care.

Therapy sessions are available all through the week, including some evening appointments and Olive Tree members are entitled to 4 free treatments, after which they ask for a minimum donation of £5 per treatment if possible.

Other services include the Cancer Survivorship Programme (please see website for details), counselling, nutritional advice, and help and advice regarding wigs, scalp and hair care.


Cancer Survivorship Programme: 8 week course to manage psychological, physical and emotional side effects. It is a group based course, running for two hours on a Wednesday. Here you can learn about the science behind techniques and also have practical sessions to provide strong grounding. This costs £80

Cancer Survivorship Masterclass: One day class to empower patients with survivorship techniques to manage stress, anixiety, fear of recurrance. Here you can learn to optimise diet and exercise. This costs £50

Cancer Survivorship Kitchen: One day course open to anyone. Here you can learn about foods to avoid or use as part of an anti-cancer diet. This costs £80 and includes all ingredients, workbook, recipe guide, menu plans, ongoing emailed recipes.

Also offer: support groups, couselling, coaching programmes, singing workshops and, a wig recycling scheme.
