Peace Hospice (The)
Profile:

The Peace Hospice cares for people living with a life limiting illness and supports their families from across South West Hertfordshire. They provide inpatient care, a day service, an outpatient service, complementary therapy, a hospice at home service and family services including spiritual care and bereavement support. All of their services are free of charge including the outpatient complementary therapies, which include aromatherapy, massage, and reflexology. Referrals can be made through your Hospice care team, your District Nurse, Macmillan Nurse and it is also possible to request therapy direct.

During your initial visit to the complementary therapy clinic you will be able to arrange a planned programme. These complementary therapies can help you to relax, control symptoms and help your general well-being. The Peace Hospice has a team of fully qualified and experienced therapists who provide the range of touch therapies which are offered alongside medical treatment that you may be receiving and not as an alternative to that treatment. Each treatment is tailored to the individual. Outpatients can receive a course of 6 treatments. Additional treatments are offered according to your need and availability of a therapist.
