It focuses in on the power of language to provide either support, encouragement, inspiration and hope, or to directly destroy hope, promote helplessness, and disempower. Science can now demonstrate that our state of being – our psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing – has a direct impact on our biology, and can provide a foundation from which to either move towards health and wellbeing, or let our precious life slip away. Hope and life are inseparable, and a deep understanding of this will always guide the best practitioners when supporting those whose care they are entrusted with.
