Facilitator: Philip Booth
Where: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Day: Friday
Time: Varies
Who’s it for: Those interested in coming together with others who are taking, or thinking of taking, an integrative approach to cancer (i.e. using conventional, lifestyle and complimentary approaches to cancer).
Philip co-founded this group with Sharon Theaker at the end of 2018. Philip, whose background is in community work, was diagnosed with an ‘aggressive’ Prostate Cancer in September 2017, writes: “The group is wonderfully informal, supportive, knowledgeable, non-judgemental and friendly. At the moment we have ten members who meet for two hours monthly in each others homes where possible and share stories of our approaches to cancer. We also put aside time to look in more details at issues like nutrition, the impact of emotions or the use of hyperthermia. We don’t have a facilitator as such, but we all contribute in different ways and at different times. We stay in contact via a WhatsApp group and at times some of our members have also come together to give online healing. One the greatest joys for me is the other members sharing healthy homemade snacks!”
