2024 is set to be the start of a year of celebrations of our 20 years of supporting Integrative Cancer Care. This is an incredible milestone and we want you to be involved too! If you have ideas of your own we would love to hear them.
Below is a list of ways you can support us – but the role can be flexible and we’d be happy to hear your ideas on celebrating this incredible milestone with us.
We welcome applicants from all sections of the community and particularly those who have been affected by cancer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Happy to work flexibly • Friendly and approachable • Can-do attitude • Networking skills/experience • Good community connections or the willingness to engage with your community • Confidence to approach local services, schools etc
• Visit local GP surgeries, hospitals, health centres, gyms, health food stores, supermarkets and places of worship to leave our flyers • Request a stand at local festivals and/or other local events and promote the work of Yes to Life • Organise a dinner/dance or other celebration event to raise funds and awareness of our work • Work with local schools that organise coffee mornings or other events for parents to promote the work of Yes to Life • Contact local community groups and community centres to deliver presentations on Yes to Life • Like and share our social media posts • Organise a presentation at your place of work either once or twice a year • Organise fundraising events such as bake sales, raffles, sponsored walks or anything else that supports our work
The role can be done flexibly to accommodate other commitments.
You will be required to attend online induction training and have access to ongoing online training to support you in your role.
