Who’s it for: For those interested in an integrative approach to cancer
Description: We stay connected between meetings via a What’s App group. Here we share resources, for example books we have read and some share updates about treatments and results of tests. We offer each other emotional support and keep up to date with where each member is with their treatment and health and wellbeing. Topics often arise on this chat group which we then discuss in greater depth in our meetings. Members may request to talk about a particular topic. Nutrition is always near the top of the list and we share recipes.
Members like to share the ways they seek to live a healthy lifestyle for mind, body and spirit.
Sometimes we might start with a meditation. We listen to and hear each other giving everyone the opportunity to share and respect that some days a person may not want to share with the whole group. We also laugh and enjoy each other’s company. We practice gratitude and look for the positive changes having cancer can bring. Above all we are friendly, welcoming and caring.
