After a lifetime in pharmaceutical drugs for mental health, Prof Jo Neill came across psilocybin and from then on has devoted all her attention to psychedelics. However, despite the fact that the science behind their safety and effectiveness is progressing rapidly, the law continues to stubbornly block their widespread use, classing them as dangerous and of no medical use – in which the law is completely wrong on both counts. Prof Neill explains the latest findings and highlights how important psychedelics can be to those with a diagnosis of cancer.
